| Mechanical
Components
-The checking and validating of mechanical components based
on strength and fatigue life. Finite Element Analysis is used
to check the strength of the component to ascertain safety.
The natural frequency of the component is checked in order to
avoid harmonic response with any revolving or excited motions,
thereby reducing earlier failure. Design changes are then implemented
if required.

Fatigue
analysis - The
offshore and marine industries experience high-energy environmental
conditions; resulting in dynamic and cyclic loading. Using FEA
& fracture mechanic methods, fatigue and subsequent catastrophic
failure can be predicted or explained (with an already failed
item). This is an extremely important design area for mission/project
critical components. Knowing the expected life of a structure
or component allows Companies to avoid untimely failures as
well as enabling them to prepare 'programmed maintenance' shutdowns
before a catastrophic failure.

And Valves
-Pump and valve cast housings, along with the components are
checked against relevant structural standards or other codes
as specified by the client. Advanced simulation tools are used
to aid us in ascertaining the casting and/or component correspondence
