Ships motions calculations - ET have developed in-house software (approved by Lloyds) to calculate ship motions based on registered Class, ships characteristics, operational and survival conditions. Roll, pitch, heave, linear and angular accelerations are then applied to 3D structural models in our Finite Analysis software. Structures are placed at their 'real' position (relative to the roll centre) to simulate actual forces experienced by the vessel. Using this method, an holistic and detailed understanding of a structure can be obtained. [Back to Top]
